      地球静止轨道微波观测同时具有高频次、大视场和穿透云雨的全天候观测能力,因此我国在规划第二代静止轨道气象卫星“风云四号”系列时已经明确提出对静止轨道微波观测的需求。基于我国候选的50GHz、118GHz、183GHz、380GHz和425GHz五频段静止轨道微波辐射计载荷方案,本文开展了地球静止轨道微波观测系统模拟试验,评估未来的静止轨道高频次微波观测资料对数值天气预报的影响。试验基于GRAPES全球4D-Var同化系统,同化静止轨道微波模拟观测资料,以2018年台风“玛利亚”和“山竹”为案例分析了静止轨道微波资料同化对台风预报的影响。试验结果表明:静止轨道微波观测资料同化对台风预报有正贡献,其中观测时间分辨率和观测精度的提高对台风数值预报有重要影响。
英文摘要:
      The geostationary microwave (GEO-MW) observation has the all-weather capability of high real-time, large filed-of-view and penetrating the cloud, which make it interest in China’s second-generation geostationary meteorology satellite "Fengyun-4" series planning. Observing System Simulation Experiments (OSSEs) are conducted to examine if these future GEO microwave observations with high frequency would be beneficial to mesoscale numerical weather prediction (NWP) based on the candidate instrumental concept for China GEO-MW satellite mission with 50GHz, 118GHz, 183GHz, 380GHz and 425GHz five-band. The OSSEs assimilate the simulated GEO-MW observation data based on the GRAPES global 4D-Var data assimilation system, which demonstrates the impact of GEO-MW observations to forecasts of two typhoon cases ‘Maria’ and ‘Mangkhut’ in 2018. The experiment results indicate that assimilation of GEO-MW data causes positive impact on the track and intensity forecasts of the typhoon, and the improvements of frequency and accuracy of the observation have an important effect on typhoon numerical prediction.
